North Conway is a something for everyone destination. Schouler Park in North Conway Village is a great place to enjoy a picnic lunch or toss around a frisbee. Take in a free concert in the summer or bring the kids to the playground to burn some energy.
Watch trains come and go from the Victorian train station at the Conway Scenic Railroad and stop in at the New England Ski Museum to learn about the history of skiing in the region.

Take a drive and find one of many covered bridges and waterfalls and in the summer, find a swimming hole along the Saco River. Local ski resort, Cranmore Mountain, is not only a great place to visit in winter, but they also offer summer scenic chair lift rides, a mountain coaster, and a Mountain Adventure Park. There’s no end to the fun in North Conway.
Kancamagus Highway
Highway 112 runs from Center Conway to North Woodstock, just south of Franconia Notch. Passing through the White Mountain National Forest, it is considered one of the most scenic highways in the U.S. and offers a number of interesting stopping off points.

The New Eastern Slope Branch of the New England Ski Museum is located in the former North Conway Community Center that was created by Harvey Dow Gibson, a giant in the history of skiing.

Cathedral Ledge is also widely known for its rock climbing trails. People use these all throughout the year as well. If you are in North Conway and you’re looking for a view of the area that can’t be beaten. Great for photo opportunities.
Echo Lake State Park
White Horse Ledge is an 800-foot cliff for climbing that is located in the heart of North Conway. With Echo Lake at the base of the cliff that offers a wonderful walking trail, picnicking and peace.
Schouler Park
This scenic, safe, grassy, and pleasant public park was in the village’s heart and near the Conway Scenic Railway. Among its amenities were paved paths, benches, a children’s play area, a baseball field, a skating area, a fountain, and nearby clean public restroom
Conway Scenic Railroad
Enjoy an old-fashioned railroading experience with all trains departing from an 1874 station in North Conway Village. Whether you choose one of the Valley Trains to Conway or Bartlett, or take the Notch Train through spectacular Crawford Notch, this is a journey back in time the whole family will enjoy
Story Land
The closest thing to Disneyland in New England. Here again Story Land is another staple to the Mount Washington Valley area. Take the kids to meet Cinderella or ride the Roarasorus rollercoaster, no matter what you do it makes for a fun day. Storyland offers both rides and entertainment for kids and adults and has been for over 65 years. So make sure you check out the place “where fantasy lives” when you are here in the North Conway area.
Mt. Washington Cog Railway
he Mount Washington Cog Railway is one of the world’s great rail adventures, and an exhilarating journey through history, technology and nature. This first-in-the-world mountain climbing cog railway has been making its dramatic three-hour round trip to the summit of the highest peak in the Northeast (6288’) since 1869. And The Cog is a year-round attraction.
Pirate’s Cove Adventure Mini Golf
Great 36 Hole Course surrounded by beautifully maintained gardens and fun pirate scenes. Really a full family event for any ages. Pirate’s Cove has two 18 hole courses to choose from, or you can play both! The pirate theme is always a good one. Fun for families and friends alike!
White Mountain Museum & Gallery
The White Mountain School of Art emphasized the sublime and majestic glory of nature through American Landscape painting of the 1800’s. Our goal is to exhibit this unique fine art, here in the Mount Washington Valley, where many important pieces were painted. Exposing visitors to this unique branch of the Hudson River School that existed between 1830-1920, with over 80 oil paintings exhibited.
Cranmore Mountain Resort
